Another birthday...
It's that time of year again where I will turn another year older...32...sigh...and we all know I hate getting older...I don't care about the wrinkles, the gray hair (thankfully I don't have any), the slow metabolism, or the sagginess that comes with age. I hate getting older for 2 reasons... 1-I'm closer to dying...see below. And 2-if I'm getting older, Andersen is getting older!
I hate that my baby is turning into a boy. I hate that we can carry on conversations like two adults. I hate that he's so independent and doesn't need his mom anymore. I hate that he can make his own decisions and I can't sway him anymore.
He's growing up way too fast for me. He's incredibly smart; which makes me proud, but sad at the same time. Every single time we drive by any school he always says, "Mommy, that's my school. I'm going to ride the bus, read books, and play with my friends"...I never thought I would be the mom to tear up sending my kid off to school...but man, it kills me every time he says this! I know he's only 3, but I don't want to think about it! I didn't have a problem coming back to work after maternity leave...actually, I love coming to work so I can have adult time. But the school thing is putting a damper on my mood.
Anyways, back to my birthday, I don't want to get older! End of story.
So I thought I would get back into blogging more...I'll post everyday till my birthday with a little something about myself...you know, for all of my 2 readers who happen to be part of my family who I'm sure know me inside and out...
Fact #1-I'm terrified of dying...plain and simple...and now that I have a son, I don't want to leave him, EVER.

Hey Amanda, great post. I laughed out loud. Ugh, you really don't mind the gray hair and wrinkles? Because frankly they piss me off.
Am,
Nope. Gray hair is cured by a couple of plucks of the tweezers or a good dye job.
The wrinkles are cured by a Dr.
Not that I've had any procedures and probably won't, but it's good to know that option is there :)
