Alright so here's the story behind my all day visit to my parents and then having to stay the night. Hold onto your seats because it's a good one! Well not really, for all 3 of my readers, you might want to get coffee, it's pretty boring.
I'm actually quite embarrassed to tell this, especially on the internet...but here it goes.
So Kevin and I have been living in this house for 5 years (really, already?)...it's an old home. Built in 1955. It needed/s a lot of work. We've done some...painted, carpted, changed handles, updated cabinets, changes fixtures...but there was one problem that we have lived with for 5 years until now! The infamous black bathtub! You read it right. We had a black bathtub. Kind of cool for the first 20 minutes you see it, but living with it was a nightmare. Sure it would look shiny and nice when you cleaned it, but once it dried, you could see all the water marks, the hair, the dust, EVERYTHING!...it was even chipping...you could take you fingernail to it and chip it away. GROSS I know.
Well finally I was just plain old tired of dealing with it and looking at it. As much as I would clean it out before Andersen used it, I still cringed everytime I put his cute little butt into it.
So here are the before, during, and after photos. The guy took 5 1/2 hours and our house smelled so bad...but well worth the money.
Another thing crossed of my "to-do" list from 5 years ago....
One of my 101 reasons why I HATE THIS HOUSE...I'm buying "new" next time around.
I want to mention that our bathroom is probably 5 x 5 and it does have black tiles around the top...those are next, and those I can do myself...
