Reality Check...

I love my job. It gives me a nice reality check when it comes to my bills and mortgage. I know that I will never be stupid with my money and put other bills in front of my mortgage...I know that IF I were to fall delinquent on my payments, I wouldn't throw a fit if I couldn't spend $1200 on my one son! Yeah that's right. I had a lady who was in foreclosure and when you're in foreclosure you have to pay the attorney fees upfront and the lady had saved up $1200 and wanted to use it on her son for Christmas. If she used it for her mortgage she then wouldn't have anything to buy gifts with....hmmm let's see here, a roof over my head or a gift my son is going to play with for a week? Tough call? I just love how people don't understand where their priorities should be at. They don't want to get rid of the brand new car (which costs more than their mortgage payment in some cases), they don't want to get rid of the cell phone/internet b/c then their kid's won't be part of the "in crowd", they refuse to move to an apartment b/c they're embarassed and wouldn't want their kids to lose "their one and only home"....these are all fine examples of how stupid people are. If I were to chose to have an apartment roof over my head or live on the streets, or in a shelter, I think I would choose to swallow my pride and get the Apt. My job is great and rewarding as well when I'm able to save people from losing their home. I love it when they call me and start crying and thanking me from keeping them from the streets. It's nice to know that one less person isn't without a home... Enough of me venting about my job...

Priorities??? Believe me, a big, flat screen TV is way cooler than a house.
