Habits/obsessions of my 4 year old

Andersen is a little obsessed about some thing things. First there are the Christmas songs he learned in school. At any given point he will bust out signing Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, or Santa Claus is coming to town. Not only does he get the words mixed up, but he likes to sing them at the top of his lungs. He doesn't care that people stop and look at him, or chuckle under their breath. He will continue until he seems satisfied. Then he is obsessed with sports...shocker right? This kid was born with a glove in one hand, a basketball in another, and cleats on his feet. He knows all of the NFL teams just by looking at their logos when they scroll across the bottom of the screen. He keeps score at the University of Dayton's basketball games, and he can quote almost the whole movie of Sandlot and Sandlot 2.
Then he's obsessed with spelling and sounding out words. Granted this is a great thing! But oh my lord, it's not only exhausting to spell out every word he speaks, but it's also pretty funny to hear him sound them out. He sounds each letter literally and hasn't learned how to to roll the sounds together or silence some of them.
And finally my most favorite one that I hope he never ever grows out of...he give me hugs, kiss me and tell me he loves me. No matter if I'm 3 feet away or in another room, he will randomly yell out to me that he loves and misses me. Or he will come up to me and say "Mommy, I just wanted to give you a hug." He has a huge heart and is incredibly sensitive and I love it. He even likes to cuddle with me just because. I hope he's always this affectionate. Because I'm sure it will melt some girl's heart just like it does to me...every.single.time He lives every day to the fullest and doesn't worry what anyone is saying about him. Sometimes I wish I could be more like him.
